Directions of Use
For measuring temperature in forehead
- Press the ON / OFF button to turn on the thermometer.
- Make sure that the device is in forehead temperature mode; this is indicated by the head symbol.
- Hold the thermometer 2 to 3 cm from the measuring point (forehead) and press the SCAN button.
- During measurement you will hear short beeps (only if the acoustic signal is activated), which signal that the thermometer has found a new measurement.
- End of the measurement is signaled by a long beep; then release the SCAN button and read the measured value.
- Press the ON / OFF button to switch off the thermometer.
For measuring object temperature
- If you want to measure an object temperature with this thermometer, at first switch to object temperature mode.
- With the thermometer switched on, briefly press the MODE / MEM button; the device switches to the object temperature mode, this is indicated by the object symbol.
- Hold the thermometer 2 to 3 cm from the measuring point (object).
- Briefly press the SCAN button and read the temperature in the display.
Note: Measurements taken in object temperature mode are not stored.
For measuring room temperature
- If you want to measure an object temperature with this thermometer, at first switch to object temperature mode.
- With the thermometer switched on, briefly press the MODE / MEM button; the device switches to the room temperature mode, this is indicated by the home symbol.
- The room temperature is immediately displayed on the display.
