Donjoy OA Nano Medial Knee Brace provides support in the type of arthritis which occurs when flexible tissue at the ends of bones wears down. It has been designed to support and protect mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis (OA).
To determine the size of your Don joy knee brace you’ll need a tape measure to take three measurements. One at knee center and then at your thigh and calf six inches above and below your kneecap.
Should be worn directly against dry skin. Braces should not be worn on both left and right legs because this makes the brace to contact each other which in turn results in potential loss of control.
Typically, a complex knee brace is worn for the first year. After that, a brace usually isn’t needed for low-level activities. Keep in mind it can take up to two years to return to baseline stability. Once you’re returned to full function, you can stop wearing a brace.
The knee brace should be worn whenever you are out of bed, unless told otherwise. You may wear it in bed while asleep for the first few nights or until the pain starts to go away. Otherwise, you can remove the brace at night to avoid muscle stiffness from lack of joint movement.
