FAQ
Using sunscreen every day can protect you from sun damage
A sunscreen’s sun protection factor (SPF) is only fully effective for two hours after you put it on.
If the sunscreen you wear stresses your skin (some chemical sunscreens can do this), it may cause skin darkening. Secondly, if you use sunscreen that has hormonally-active ingredients (like oxybenzone), it can cause hormonal skin darkening
When choosing the best sunscreen for face, opt for a high SPF of 30 or higher which easily absorbs into the skin such as sunscreen gel SPF 50 especially for oily skin
Sun protection should start at age 0, sunscreen should start around 6 months (ideally with a mineral only sunscreen).
Sunblock uses physics to reflect UV radiation. By itself, it does not whiten the skin, which is a chemical process
Many people only have their sunscreen handy during the summer months, but you need to wear sunscreen everyday whether it’s sunny or cloudy.
