Yes, NMF is natural moisturising factor that leaves the skin moisturized, nourished and is an excellent humectant for xerotic, dry skin.
Both Sodium PCA and hyaluronic acid are humectants. The only difference between the two is the quality of the function. While hyaluronic acid holds up to 100 times its weight in water, sodium PCA can hold 25O times of its weight. Depending on your dryness whether its mild or moderate or extreme choose the ingredient. Over moisturisation is also not good for skin.
As a humectant and moisturiser, sodium lactate helps keep the skin hydrated and has been reported to improve the moisture content of the skin by up to 84%.
Can be used in curing dry skin conditions like eczema, atopic dermatitis and mild to moderate dryness associated with itching, irritation and inflammation.
Olesoft lotion and cream are formulated with sodium PCA. Both are good for recovering from dryness. Lotion is beneficial in covering larger body parts like legs and hands whereas cream for elbow, foot, face and other smaller dry skin areas. Use as per doctor’s advice.
