Directions for Use
- Keep your back straight and sit comfortably.
- Find a quite, clean and comfortable location where you will not be disturbed.
- Squeeze the handle you’ll feel the suction. When you release the handle the valve will open and allow milk into the bottle. Try to imitate the rhythm of your baby as they feed.
- During the pumping session, remain cool and relaxed. So that you don’t have to rush through your session, plan ahead of time.
- Switch to the second breast when the flow slows down on the first breast and vice versa.
- You can stop when the flow slows down for both breasts at the same time.

Using a breast pump shouldn’t hurt you, but some women can find the suction uncomfortable. With a manual pump, you’re generally better able to control the suction rate yourself. Once you’ve placed the suction cup over your breast, squeeze the handle to create a rhythmic vacuum that stimulates milk flow
Because hands-on pumping helps you to drain the breast more fully each time you pump, it helps increase your milk supply and helps you provide more of the fatty hindmilk that will help your baby grow
Pumping every two hours throughout the day should also help to increase your milk supply. It is recommended to pump at least every three hours during the day.
Pumping breast milk allows you to continue breastfeeding while someone else feeds your baby. You should pump milk for about 15 minutes from each breast.
If your baby has started to spread her feeds out to once every four hours, you can also try pumping every two hours between feedings. Doing this will increase your milk supply and give you plenty of breast milk to store away.
