- Chicco NaturalFeeling Manual Breast Pump is designed to follow the baby’s natural sucking pattern. It works in two phases. Phase 1 is Stimulation. It gently massages the breasts to open milk ducts. Phase 2 is Expression. It leads to the extraction of milk gently and effectively, ensuring a natural and constant flow.
- Ergonomic handle with soft covering, the Chicco NaturalFeeling Manual Breast Pump ensures simple use, easy grip, and less fatigue.
- The soft silicone and unique texture of the pump body ensure soft and delicate contact with sensitive breast skin.
- The Chicco NaturalFeeling Manual Breast Pump comes with a storage container into which the expressed milk directly flows. The breast pump is compatible with the entire range of Chicco NaturalFeeling and Well-Being feeding bottles.
- The frequency of the sucking cycle of the Chicco Manual Breast Pump resembles the natural sucking rhythm of the baby. Thus, it makes the mother feel like she is feeding her baby.
Directions for Use
- Keep your back straight and sit comfortably.
- Find a quite, clean and comfortable location where you will not be disturbed.
- Squeeze the handle you’ll feel the suction. When you release the handle the valve will open and allow milk into the bottle. Try to imitate the rhythm of your baby as they feed.
- During the pumping session, remain cool and relaxed. So that you don’t have to rush through your session, plan ahead of time.
- Switch to the second breast when the flow slows down on the first breast and vice versa.
- You can stop when the flow slows down for both breasts at the same time.
Safety Information
Wash the breast pump with warm soapy water, rinse and dry after each use
FAQ
Using a manual pump is recommended as a convenient backup option to your double-electric breast pump or while traveling when it may be more challenging to pump on the go.It is time consuming. Because they can only be used on one breast at a time, it takes longer to express milk with a manual pump
Using a breast pump shouldn’t hurt you, but some women can find the suction uncomfortable. With a manual pump, you’re generally better able to control the suction rate yourself. Once you’ve placed the suction cup over your breast, squeeze the handle to create a rhythmic vacuum that stimulates milk flow
Because hands-on pumping helps you to drain the breast more fully each time you pump, it helps increase your milk supply and helps you provide more of the fatty hindmilk that will help your baby grow
Pumping every two hours throughout the day should also help to increase your milk supply. It is recommended to pump at least every three hours during the day.
Pumping breast milk allows you to continue breastfeeding while someone else feeds your baby. You should pump milk for about 15 minutes from each breast.
If your baby has started to spread her feeds out to once every four hours, you can also try pumping every two hours between feedings. Doing this will increase your milk supply and give you plenty of breast milk to store away.
Once your mature milk has come in, be sure to pump for at least 20 – 30 minutes per session (or until you no longer see milk expressing from your breasts).
- Manual pumps are easy to transport and are much lighter than electric pumps.
- Hand-operated, there’s no need for a power source.
- Operating a manual pump is pretty straightforward and easy.
- Affordable and easy to clean.
