- Dr.Odin Aneroid Sphygmomanometer’s pack also contains a stethoscope and a leather case to hold the equipment.
- Aneroid Sphygmomanometer’s Stethoscope can help monitor the function of the heart and lungs
- Sphygmomanometer’s valve can help maintain the air pressure required
- Aneroid Sphygmomanometer has an aneroid gauge that can help provide an accurate reading of the pulse rate
- Aneroid Sphygmomanometer consists of an inflatable rubber cuff, which is wrapped around the upper arm and is connected to an apparatus that records pressure, usually in terms of the height of a column of mercury or on a dial (an aneroid manometer).
- The latex bulb can prove to be crack resistant and easy to squeeze
- The adult-size arm cuff, along with the D-ring high-quality tubes, can help provide a comfortable use
Directions for Use

FAQ
Aneroid sphygmomanometer measures blood pressure non-invasively by displaying the pressure in a cuff wrapped around a patient’s arm. The systolic and diastolic pressure is usually assessed by listening to the Korotkoff sounds generated by arterial blood flow using a stethoscope simultaneously.
Aneroid means without fluid and in this instrument, there is no use of mercury. It consists of a stethoscope that is attached to the cuff which is further attached to a dial gauge with tubing. To convert the cuff pressure to gauge pressure, the gauge head has a mechanical part.
A carefully maintained aneroid sphygmomanometer is an accurate and clinically useful means of indirect blood pressure measurement.
You should hear a knocking or beating sound, called Korotkoff sounds. When that sound begins, note the reading on the dial. That reading is the systolic pressure. The systolic number represents the pressure that blood exerts against the walls of an artery following a heart beat or contraction.
With aneroid meters, it is essential that they be checked against a mercury column both at zero pressure and when pressure is applied to the cuff.
