Functional knee wrap is an anterior opening device wrapped around the knee that provides controlled compression around the knee and a rigid lateral support and immobilization. Allows normal flexion and free movement of knee joint and prevents further knee injury.
Wrapping this band around the knee reduces strain and provides enough support and stability to ease pain that may arise during physical activity.
The structures in the knee can become damaged or dislocated in an injury or during exercises such as squats, powerlifting and by this time wearing knee wrap heals the injury.
After surgery this needs to be worn for 6 weeks to support bones and ligaments while they heal.
For best results remove at night while sleeping.
Knee must bend easily without restriction. If you feel the wrap is loose,rewrap. Also if you feel blood getting cut off to your lower leg or if you cannot bend the knee comfortably, knee wrap is too tight.So rewrap.
Because knee wraps help ease the tension and stress placed on the knees and quadricep muscles.
