Adult blood pressure is considered normal at a systolic value of 120 mmHg and a diastolic value of 80 mmHg.
Blood pressure monitor readings can be inaccurate because of incorrect patient sitting positioning, the wrong-sized cuff, and incorrect cuff placement.
You should place it tight enough so that you can only slip two fingertips under the top edge of the cuff and it should be placed at equal tension around the arm.
