Direction of use

Portable suction machines generate negative pressure, which is channeled through a special type of plastic connecting tube called a single-use catheter. The negative pressure creates a vacuum effect that pulls any blood, mucus, or similar secretions out of the throat.
Connect the suction tubing to the device and attach the suction catheter to the other end of the tubing. Turn on the device and adjust the vacuum pressure to the desired level. Place the suction catheter in the patient’s mouth or nose, depending on the area where the secretions need to be removed. Repeat the suctioning process as needed until the airway is clear of secretions.Turn off the device and disconnect the suction catheter and tubing.
The maximum suction time should only be 15 seconds. After suctioning, re-oxygenate the patient.
