- Insert one finger into the finger opening of the pulse oximeter and hold it steady.
- Press the function button, then the pulse oximeter begins its measurement; don’t move your finger during the measurement.
- Your measurement values will appear on the screen after a few seconds.

- Wash your hands using warm water.
- Prepare a lancing device to get a drop of blood for testing.
- Prick your finger and touch the test strip to get blood to begin the test.
- Turn the meter ON & insert a testing strip in it.
- Wait 8 seconds to view your test result.

- Place the arm cuff just above your elbow.
- Keep still and quiet while you take your reading.
- Take two or three readings, each about one to two minutes apart.
