Directions for Use
To train with bowl and spoon:
To start transitioning your baby to table food and utensils like bowl and spoon, begin by modeling the action of scooping food onto a spoon and then bringing it to your mouth. Choose food options that will stay on the spoon if the baby turns it upside down–think mashed potatoes and oatmeal.
To train with cutlery:
Introducing your baby to cutlery is a three-stage process, starting with a spoon, then a spoon and fork, and then a fork and knife. This will mean the baby isn’t overwhelmed with three utensils at once, and they can focus on developing their coordination skills using just a spoon at first.
To train with non spill cup:
Hold the cup to their lip and tip the cup up and down for drinking and pauses while maintaining the contact to the lip rather than taking it away. Move slowly and allow them time to adjust to liquid flowing into the mouth.
Safety Information
- Make sure that the weaning is maintained hygienically
- Clean the weaning set after each and every use thoroughly with soap and water.
FAQ
Table mat and mess mat , Bibs , Plastic bowls and plates, Plastic spoons, Trainer Cup, Frozen food storage.
Some parents prefer baby-led weaning to spoon feeding, while others combine a bit of both. There’s no right or wrong way – the most important thing is that your baby eats a wide variety of food and gets all the nutrients they need.
You will want to choose spoons that are light and small as they will be easier for the baby to grip onto them with their small fingers. It is also a good idea to have utensils that are made from BPA-free plastic or silicone. This is in case your little one decides they would rather chew on them than use them to eat.
This development over time is usually broken down into three stages:
- Stage 1 – Introduction of solid foods – from around six months.
- Stage 2 – More textures and tastes – from around seven months.
- Stage 3 – Wider variety and family food – from around 9-12 months.
Traditional weaning – spoon-feeding purees to start with, gradually progressing to mashed up food with chunks over the next couple of months. Finger foods are added later.
Baby Led weaning – letting baby take the lead by giving them pieces of food of whatever the rest of the family are eating.  Food is cut into smallish chunks, and the baby feeds himself, rather than being spoon-fed.
Combination weaning – a mixture of the above approaches.  Some meals involve purees, other meals involve finger foods where babies can feed themselves.
Changes in breast-feeding patterns leading to eventual weaning often begin naturally at age 6 months, when solid foods are typically introduced. Some children begin to seek other forms of nutrition and comfort at around age 1.
Baby led weaning is all about baby learning how to self feed, so are baby led weaning spoons really necessary. Spoons are great for preloading foods such as porridge, yogurt and soups and it’s great to get babies used to cutlery, way before they start using it properly.
