Description
- Lactulose works by absorbing water from the body and into the bowel. This softens stools and makes it easier to pass.
- Looz Enema used to control constipation (infrequent bowel movements, hard and dry stools) and hepatic encephalopathy.
- Hepatic encephalopathy is a decline in brain function due to liver disease that causes symptoms like confusion, tremor and decreased level of consciousness
- Helps to reduce the amount of ammonia in the blood by removing the toxin from the bloodstream which helps to improve cognitive functions.
Key ingredients:
- Lactulose 200mg, Sodium benzoate 3mg, Purified water
Direction of use:
- Position patient in bed on left side with right hip and knee flexed
- Insert 2-3 inches of enema tube into anus
- Slowly squeeze all the content of enema into rectum
- Remove enema tube slowly and carefully arrer administration in completed
- Ask patient to retain enema for 30-60 minutes
- Assist patient (If required) to toilet/bedside commode for evacuation
