The Infi stethoscope is a single-head stethoscope that uses an aluminium chest piece to detect frequency sounds inside the body.
Your ear wax blockages are one of the most common causes of hearing loss. If you keep your stethoscope in your pants pocket, make sure that lint and dirt hasn’t clogged the earpieces.
Keep your stethoscope away from extreme heat, cold, solvents, and oils. Diaphragms can be removed from the chest piece and their surfaces wiped with alcohol or soapy water.
The bell is most effective at transmitting lower-frequency sounds, while the diaphragm is most effective at transmitting higher-frequency sounds.
When the diaphragm is placed on the patient, body sounds vibrate the diaphragm, creating acoustic pressure waves that travel up the tubing to the listener’s ears.
