Direction of Use
- Pour 25 ml of human milk (as directed by the health worker) into sterile container.
- Add the entire contents of one sachet (1 g) to the container.
- Cap the container, shake well and feed.
- Cover and store unused fortified human milk in refrigerator.
- Use fortified human milk within 8 hours of preparation.
- Shake well before use.
Note: Add Lactodex-HMF in the given proportion with each feed till the time directed by the health worker.

Human milk fortifier (HMF) is necessary to supply the additional nutrients to the baby (preterm and sick infant) who requires support for rapid rate of growth and bone mineralization.
Babies who are started on breast milk fortifier will usually need to continue having it until they are 4 weeks past their due date.
