Place the thermometer in your baby’s mouth. Tell your child to keep the lips firmly closed and hold them in place. You will hear a beep in about 30 seconds.
The normal body temperature can be between 97F and 99F (36ºC and 37.2ºC).
The thermometer readings generally indicate a fever: Rectal, ear, or temporal artery temperature of 100.4 (38 C) or higher. Oral temperature of 100F (37.8 C) or higher. Armpit temperature of 99F (37.2 C) or higher.
