FAQ
After measurement, fully exhaust cuff, then wrap cuff around gauge and bulb and store in zippered carrying case.
The performance of the aneroid sphygmomanometers was well within the accuracy guidelines of 3 to 4 mm Hg.
All sphygmomanometers should be checked and calibrated by an accredited laboratory at least annually. Aneroid sphygmomanometers should be calibrated every 6 months. Only properly validated automatic sphygmomanometers should be used.
Simply look at the oval or small rectangle at the bottom of the gauge. If the indicator needle falls outside of it when your unit is fully deflated, that means the unit is not properly calibrated.
If any air bubbles are present in mercury column, then open the nozzle and tilt the device until the mercury goes back and removes the air bubbles.
