Turn on the unit by pressing the power button. Select the appropriate suction level based on the patient’s needs and your healthcare provider’s instructions. You can adjust the suction level using the control knob. Connect the suction catheter to the suction port on the unit. Make sure the catheter is secure and properly connected. Place the catheter into the patient’s airway and apply suction as needed. Be sure to follow proper suctioning techniques and safety guidelines to prevent injury or damage to the patient. After use, turn off the unit
The suction unit is suitable for people with difficulty with phlegm removal due to illness, coma, or operation, as well as for aspirating liquids such as pus and blood during clinical practice.
The suction unit can help maintain and establish gas exchange, adequate oxygenation, and alveolar ventilation. It can be performed through an endotracheal tube, a tracheostomy tube, the mouth, or the nose.
The maximum suction time should only be 15 seconds. After suctioning, re-oxygenate the patient.
